Penguins new first line

It is my understanding that the Sedin twins are both free agents this year and will only go to a team that will sign both of them. I am not sure what kind of salary they would require but they would look really good playing the wings for either Crosby or Malkin. Not sure who will be on the Penguins radar come July 1st but I believe they have to get at least one scoring winger and a true power forward. Does anybody think Jagr may actually come back to finish his career here in Pittsburgh?

  1. The two Sedin's, while their play would be awesome, would just kill us financially. They're basically holding Vancouver for ransom, and with our cap issues, it just wouldn't work. They're looking to stay together, and then get a long 'Zetterburg-like' deal. So, ton-O-money + long contract + Pens cap Room x 2 = highly doubtful.

But you know what they say, never say never...

And I've heard Jagr was being coerced by Edmonton. As his Hossa.

  2. Do you think the Sedin's will command more than 4 million each a season? Anymore money than that seems rediculous for two players that insist on staying together. I do agree with you that it is a long shot though. As far as Hossa and Jagr go, I think Jagr would be a good addition to the Pens, and he would probally take a one or two year contract which would work out well but, as you stated Edmonton is after him and I heard they offered him $8 Million a season which is way to much. It will be interesting to see what the Penguins do in the next two weeks.
